TG Nickel has successfully completed the first continuous pour of the mat “A” portion of the foundation.  2,150 cubic yards of concrete were delivered to the site across 215 trucks, sourced from 3 different concrete plants.  This was a major achievement for our team, as it allowed us to complete a large section of the building’s foundation over one weekend rather than breaking it up over several work weeks.

August 22, 2017

There are currently three rigs on site drilling piles, with a fourth rig mobilizing this week.  45 out of 89 piles have been completed so far.  Tieback installation on Clinton Street is also starting this week.

July 25, 2017

Demolition has been completed.  All DOB and DOT permits are in place to begin the support of excavation (SOE) and foundation work for the site.  This week, we will be installing the SOE structures along Clinton Street and pruning and protecting the trees on Clinton Street.

April 18, 2017

Asbestos abatement, interior and mechanical demolition have been completed, and we are now commencing the removal of the 24 exterior bas-relief panels on the Cadman Plaza West facade of the existing building.  Pullman Services, a structural group experienced in building conservation and the restoration of historical landmarked buildings, will be removing the bas-relief panels one at a time from the top down.

March 3, 2017

Scaffolding, temporary sidewalk shed and demolition permits have been issued.  The 10 day notification to neighbors about the imminent start of demolition have been issued.
